Funniest thing
that's ever
happened on the job:
"I could tell you about how I almost burned down a brand new maintenance building in Charlotte doing a cookout or about two superintendents and me whitewater rafting the Russell Fork River.  But the best was when I worked with James T. (Tommy) Hendrick, who was the assistant superintendent, equipment manager, spray tech and the king of pranks at Willow Creek.  Every day he would show up at 11:20am in his 1974 Chevy luv truck (clutch-driven).  He would go and clean up in the restroom for his lunch date with his wife, Cathey.  One day I blocked his rear wheels on the luv truck.  Can you hear the RPM's on that four-cylinder engine yet??  He came around the corner ready to go mano-a-mano saying, "You're mine now!"  The only thing that saved me was Tommy's brother in law, Junior Hall, who sat across from me with tears in his eyes.  We were all laughing!"
