Upcoming Poa Control Field Tours

- April 20, 2010 - Walker GC (at Clemson University campus), followed by Verdae Greens GC (in Greenville, SC) hosted by Adam Charles and Don Garrett.

At Spring Island and Wild Dunes, each day will start at about 9 am with registration and tours lasting from about 9:30 am till about 11am, followed by lunch and golf.

At Clemson, the day will start about 8:15am with registration and tours lasting until about 9:15. We will then travel to Verdae Greens GC in Greenville to finish viewing plots. Following this, lunch and golf at Verdad Greens will follow.

The golf course sites will have all latest pre- and post-emergence herbicides for selective Poa control in overseeded ryegrass. These sites were selected for their heavy Poa pressure.
In addition, at campus, we will view the latest on Poa annua control in creeping bentgrass golf greens.

No pre-registration is necessary, just show up. The tours are free and open to the public. If you wish to eat lunch and play golf, these are extra. Sign up for lunch and/or golf by phoning Kim Clark at the Carolinas GCSA at 1-800-476-4272 or register on line http://www.cgcsa.org/default.aspx?ekfrm=1220

A free 1-hour CEU credit will be offered at each location.

Come participate in one of the few available field days on Poa control still offered and compare your control program with others.

Feel free to forward this to those you think might be interested.

Hope to see you then.
