Advanced Weed Management
This workshop integrates weed life cycles, environmental factors affecting weed growth and occurrence, identification, and chemical and cultural control in developing a holistic weed management program. All major warm-and cool-season weeds will be presented and discussed, along with parameters influencing pesticide performance, fate, potential herbicide resistance, and plant growth regulator. A general knowledge of turf culture and experience in pesticide application is required for maximum benefit. SC & NC Pesticide: 3.5 hrs
Time Saving Programs to Control Mole Crickets, Fire Ants, White Grubs and Cutworms
This half-day seminar will enable attendees to understand pest biology and ecology. Knowledge is the key to effective insect management, especially with today’s new insecticides. Attendees will be able to develop a sound IPM program, learn how to effectively control mole crickets, fire ants, white grubs and cutworms and discuss the various levels of control and cost. SC & NC Pesticide: 3.5 hrs
