River Oaks Golf Club in Statesville NC is looking for the right person to help assist in guiding our golf club’s future direction. We are an 18-hole semi-private facility with 80 acres of maintained turf and do between 25-30k rounds each year. The right individual will be able to:
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of golf course maintenance, including mowing, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control.
• Work with the superintendent to execute a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure the course is in peak condition year-round.
• Monitor and manage turfgrass health.
• Lead and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring they are trained and motivated to deliver the highest standards of golf course care.

Assistant Superintendent

Camden Country Club was chartered in 1903. In 1922, Walter Travis was hired to use the existing golf course and adjacent land to create a new 18 hole golf course. In 1938, Donald Ross was hired to remodel the course and install grass greens. Today, the greens are mini verde bermuda and 419 bermuda throughout the rest of the property.

JOB SUMMARY

2nd Assistant Superintendent
Hampton Hall Club, Bluffton, SC

Hampton Hall Club is an 1,100 acre private residential community ideally located between Hilton Head Island, SC and Savannah, GA. The Pete Dye signature golf course was built in 2003 and a significant restoration project was completed in 2023. During the restoration, greens were cored out 4” and replanted with TifEagle Bermudagrass, the bunkers were reconfigured to the original Pete Dye design to make them easily visible from tees and fairways, and multiple tees were added. New targets enhanced the driving range and a sub subsurface drainage system was installed in fairways and approaches on 15 holes. In addition to the quality golf course, Hampton Hall Club has robust, congenial and supportive membership of nearly 400 households.

• Manage the maintenance crew in certain situations.
• Assist in opening and closing golf maintenance facility.
• Help train crew members.
• Setting up irrigation systems to water golf course.
• Managing projects.
• Help mowing, trim and maintain all playing surfaces.
• Bunker maintenance.
• Install additional drainage on the golf course.
• Operating equipment in a proficient and safe manner.
• Will perform work on irritation system as needed.

Pay range:
• $19 - $22 per hour, depending on experience.
• Overtime hours available April through October
