Champions Retreat is a 27 Hole private golf facility , open year round, with 20K annual rounds, located in Evans, GA which is located 12 miles outside of Augusta, Ga. Course designers are Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player. Champions Retreat opened in 2005 and has hosted the Augusta National Women's Amateur since its inception in 2019. Primary Grasses are Greens: TifEagle; Tees: 419 Bermudagrass; and Fairways: 419 Bermudagrass.
This is a great opportunity for an individual that is looking to learn and advance their career in golf course management. The selected intern will work closely with management formulating daily plans and practices on the golf course. Previous golf course experience is a plus but not required. Equipment usage, goals and expectations will set once candidate completes interview to decide where their strengths and weakness may lay so that we can see a formulate a plan to help them grow. The Cliffs at Keowee Springs is an 18 hole, Tom Fazio design, located on beautiful Lake Keowee in upstate SC. We are one of the seven golf communities within The Cliffs. We boast a large practice facility with a large driving range complimented by a impressive short game practice area. We have 007 Bentgrass greens along with TifEagle tees and 419 Bermuda fairways and rough. Carmel Country Club CHARLOTTE, North Carolina Carmel Country Club is a 36-hole facility located in Charlotte, NC. The South Golf Course was renovated in 2010 by Rees Jones and consists of Zeon zoysia grass tees/fairways, Celebration Bermuda rough, and A1 bentgrass greens. The North Course was renovated in 2016 by John Fought Design. The renovation consisted of many architectural changes that include a new Toro irrigation system, course drainage, bunkers, greens, tees, and fairways. The course was grassed with Champion UltraDwarf bermudagrass greens and 419 Bermudagrass tees, fairways, and roughs.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Golf Course Superintendents and Assistants daily to gain multiple course experience on a variety of different turf species on one property while using some of the newest technology in the business. Three Pines Country Club was designed by Bill Amick in 1962. It is a private, year round 18 hole facility with 40,000 annual rounds. We are proudly hosting the SCGA State Senior Championship in 2023, as well as many other important tournaments.
